The Riverview

Room was spacious, clean and beautiful. Plenty of free well lighted parking. Nice view if the river. No pool. No fitness center. Limited dinner choices, either fancy or fried. No breakfast options other than Starbucks. Did not feel comfortable walking the neighbor. Many boarded up buildings nearby. Was awakened at 3.30am by loud music and a group of people in the parking under my window. Had to call front desk twice before someone arrived to deal with it. Casino offered no non-smoking area

The hotel itself looks stunning, and I appreciated having to use my room key to reach the upper floor via elevator— that extra security step felt reassuring.

The place was exceptionally clean, and the staff were courteous and prompt; no complaints! The price, however, felt a bit high.

“Good if you just like clean but zero perks.”

The hotel was very clean, but it lacked a pool, Jacuzzi, kickbacks, breakfast, a bathtub, a shower seat, proper airflow, a microwave, and a fridge that cooled well. The temperature control swung from hot to cold with no middle ground. I was misled about the river view; the photos made it look like a black river, but it was only NEAR the river, not on it. The regular 2‑queen rooms were marketed as LUXURY, yet I received a shorter standard room with regular windows and paid an extra $70 per night for the luxury designation. I felt cheated and lied to.
