The apartment was tastefully decorated with a living room, kitchen, and dining area, and we stayed in the balcony room; the cleanliness deserves extra praise, there was a Kerala guidebook and a iron, it was the best accommodation on our trip, and the hot shower ran all day.

The common area was pleasant and the room was very clean, but getting there by car or taxi was hard to find, the reception was odd—someone just handed me the keys, collected the payment, and left—maybe I was unlucky; it’s quite isolated geographically with few nearby restaurants, but that wasn’t a problem once I got my bearings.

The room stayed very tidy and everything worked fine. It’s within a 1‑3km radius of all the sights. I wish there had been a dustbin in the room and that the owner had cleaned it at least every other day, because it wasn’t cleaned each day I was there.
