The rooms were worn out, a light went out, the room was hot, and basic seasonings like salt and pepper would have been nice in the room.
“Good value for your money!”
They let you stay with your dog for an extra fee; we paid 200 crowns for a little dachshund. The commute to the city center was easy, taking only 35 minutes in the morning from the hotel to the Taxparaden in central Stockholm. The Chromecast didn’t work, and we really wanted it to relax after a long, rainy day at Birka Island. We called reception, but apparently nothing could be done.
“Enkelt att ta sig till Strawberry Arena”
Near the metro and the shopping mall, we stayed to go to Strawberry Arena and it was easy to get there. The check‑in experience was extremely poor, the staff made me feel small and dumb, and that was not a pleasant way to start the stay; nothing else salvaged the hotel’s reputation for me, and the place felt warm, worn, and dirty.
“Für den Preis alles super und komfortabel.”
The price‑to‑value ratio was excellent, the hotel was spotless and comfortable, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful; opposite the property the mall had everything you might need and the metro station nearby let you reach any part of Stockholm, and even when the mall closed you could still get in and out. We managed to return at 02:00 am after a concert without any trouble, so I’d gladly recommend the place and would stay again. The only downside was that the hotel sits far from the city centre, although the metro gets you into the heart of town in about 20 minutes.
“Ár-érték arányban teljesen oké”
Breakfast was generous with separate gluten‑free and lactose‑free options, the beds were comfortable and the hotel was quiet with no noise from neighbours; the location was good, the surrounding shops were empty on weekends, the metro stop was a 6‑minute walk away and a 17‑minute ride to the centre, Lidl was right opposite, and we could use bicycles, ping‑pong, the gym and other facilities for free, with 24‑hour reception. Unfortunately, cleanliness mattered to us and we found stains in the room shown in the photos, a broken shower head and shampoo bottle despite checking in after 4 pm; it seemed the room hadn’t been properly inspected after the previous guest. Housekeeping wasn’t daily (which is fine if you request it), but even when we asked, the bathtub wasn’t cleaned properly.
