We booked to celebrate our honeymoon, knowing the 9 pm check‑in cutoff. After leaving San Salvador with my wife post‑wedding, we tried calling the cell number they didn’t give us to see if we could arrive after 9 pm. We got there at 10:05 pm (you can check the cameras from 20 August) and parked in front of the main entrance, dressed in our wedding attire. No security was present; a few minutes later a guard appeared and simply told us we couldn’t be let in because no room could be assigned. When I asked if he could call his supervisor, he said no, claiming he was already resting. He ultimately told us we had to leave. We parked elsewhere and, after 10:30 pm, started searching for accommodation on Google. I understand there are rules and higher‑level orders, but why provide a cell number that won’t be answered? I hope the communication between guests and the hotel improves. Thank you.
