There was no parking, the room smelled of old grease, and when ventilating the whole kitchen smell came into the room; the reception was only open until 18 h, no agreement was settled that evening, and despite notifying the hotel, I have received no response yet.

The hotel’s restaurant is great because you can go straight from your room, and you can also eat well elsewhere; my room had two floors, so you had to go down a flight of stairs to reach the toilet.

The location was nice, but it was very warm, we missed an air‑con, and there was no lift, so reaching the third‑floor room with your own bags was a real hassle.

There’s a spot to walk the dog right by the hotel, the breakfast is roomy and good with friendly service, and you have to ask staff for the fried eggs because they’re not on the buffet; we booked a dinner table in advance, the reception passed the request to the restaurant but when we arrived there was no reservation, and the restaurant is billed separately, not to the room. Since we were on the road home we needed several cold items, so the fridge in the kitchenette was very handy. We stayed in a second‑floor room facing the back, but the kitchen exhaust ran next to our window and a leak forced us to keep the windows shut because the smell was noticeable on arrival; air‑conditioning would have been welcome.
