The owner, Mustafa, and the staff are simply amazing—always polite, helpful, and the food is delicious. The house is cute in a Nubian style, rooms are spotless, and the rooftop is lovely with a tasty breakfast. I had already wondered if the price was worth it, and after staying I was even more convinced. The village is a quiet Nubian one, with friendly locals, so you can fully immerse yourself in the culture. Although there are no restaurants nearby, he spends three hours preparing wonderful meals, even starting from a campfire. It was a truly enjoyable two‑night stay and I highly recommend it. The only downside is that it’s a 25‑minute walk from the ferry port, which might feel inconvenient, but there are tuk‑tuks and shared trucks, and I even got rides from locals to experience the village.
