The spot is hard to beat – the restaurant opens right onto the bar and the outdoor pool, which is just perfect for a dip. Staff are friendly and the local car service that shuttles you to the village works like a charm. Our room (505) was nicely sized and nicely decorated, but the attic‑style windows made it gloomier than I’d like in midsummer, so I’d ask for a lower floor next time.

We loved every minute at The Alpina Gstaad – it’s the kind of place that makes you want to hit pause and soak up the mountain air. The pool deck was a real highlight on those warm summer days, and the staff were consistently warm and attentive. Dinner at Megu blew us away; probably the best Japanese cuisine we’ve tasted, and the free Vespas added a fun twist to exploring the area. Little touches like that really set the hotel apart.

The employees were incredibly attentive and made us feel well taken care of. Unfortunately, the air‑conditioning didn’t get warm enough, so it was a bit chilly inside.
