A few minutes walk to the beach, sleeping in a quiet area, a friendly family. I used the kettle to make cups of tea and there was a refrigerator.

“Sitio limpio y nuevo”

The room had air conditioning and was very clean. I had requested to extend my stay from two to three nights via Booking, but they didn’t respond; when I arrived they told me I could stay one more night. Because of a change of plans I had to leave after the second night, and the owner did not refund me even though the room was also free on Booking for that date.

I spent one night at Rate J Rest and was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable and welcoming it felt. The room was clean, well‑kept, and had everything I needed for a restful stay. The location is great too, close to the beach and easy to reach nearby restaurants and attractions. What really stood out was the hospitality; the staff were kind, helpful, and made me feel at home right away. Even though my stay was short, it was relaxing and hassle‑free. For the price, it’s excellent value and I’d happily stay here again when I return to Trincomalee.

“I enjoyed the clean, quiet place with kitchen and living roon”

I stayed alone at the new accommodation and enjoyed it a lot. I was the first guest in this new place. It was very clean, quiet, spacious, and the owner was very friendly. I stayed for 10 days and felt very comfortable. A wardrobe in the room would be good, and a desk for working on a laptop would help.
