The spot is the absolute best in Manteo, no contest. It’s pretty in the evening, offers gorgeous sunrises from the deck in the mornings, and sits right in the middle of everything Manteo offers. We were quite happy with everything.

The historic building is beautiful and very well kept, and it’s also super convenient to the distillery and other places we liked. The only downside was that there’s no elevator, and it was very hot; as a 66‑year‑old in good shape, I managed to haul our luggage up to the room on the next‑to‑the‑top floor, but it might be worth mentioning on their site’s information section.
