Sehr herzliches Personal und sehr guter Service. Lage ist ruhig. Alles ist sauber und gepflegt. Die Zimmer waren ein bisschen altbacken, aber laut Gastwirt sollen in den nächsten Monaten viele Modernisierungen stattfinden

What do you expect for one night? Inside, it looks like a 1970s German beer hall, but a very friendly Chinese family greets you. The menu is like a Chinese restaurant’s, and the room feels “renovated”—lots of new stuff but not very pretty, so it still looks old. Still, everything is there: good bed, clean sheets, fresh bathroom, simple but adequate breakfast. There’s a slight hitch in two aspects. The Chinese dinner was fine. The room had a mini‑fridge but no drinks, and there was no coffee or tea.

Clean and efficient. There were no pillows or comforters, and the building had no elevator.

Beds and bath. The TV could only be set to ARD with a lot of effort, and there was no manual. Breakfast was more sparse than the menu suggested. One staff member was not visible.

The hotel sits in a very quiet spot, yet you can reach downtown Cologne quickly by bus or train. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were very friendly. As a tall person, I found the bed a bit narrow and short in both dimensions, so it wasn’t all that comfortable.
