I’ve never stayed anywhere as amazing and welcoming as this place; I absolutely enjoyed every single second, and the fishing was a lot of fun yet still challenging enough, so I’d definitely recommend it even to beginners.

Everything, fishing and food were spot on. Not too easy to catch that you felt like you were on a stock pond, but not so difficult to keep you interested. Some absolute monsters moving about and a few good sized beasts made it ashore. Nothing. Felt safe in all the ways that counted, including the food. No chance of food poisoning here. Everything's prepared by the owners and is top notch

From the moment I arrived I felt at home; after six hours of fishing I dropped my suitcase into the room, and Graham and Nun were perfect hosts with six dogs that were a great companion. Bacon rolls, shepherd’s pie, pasta, and chilli con carne were all delicious and tasty. The lodge was big, clean, and very comfortable, the location excellent, and the fishing first‑class. I had the greatest time, booked for two nights but stayed five, and it was excellent, excellent, excellent.

The hosts are amazing, they honestly can't do enough for you and are great company; the fishing is fantastic and I caught a few nice ones, but be prepared—he has monsters you can hook, though catching them is another matter. Graham goes above and beyond to help, yet he can't control the fish. I lost many big ones, but I'll definitely be back to get my revenge 🦈

Graham knows everything you need to know, is very helpful and kind, and knocked me up an egg‑and‑bacon roll with a cuppa as soon as I arrived. The room is lovely on the waterfront, and big fish in the lake are a fact 👌. I need more time there; definitely stay more than a day because the beasts are out at night, happy hunting, tight lines 😀. Those people who moan about the location should just pull out their Google maps, ladies—it's simple.
