The breakfast was lovely with plenty of choices, the unit was quiet and had a pond and deck to relax on, and it was close enough to shops.

The location was fantastic and quiet, I loved the pond and surrounding area, check‑in was easy, the hosts were fabulous, and the breakfast included fresh eggs from on‑site chickens and honey from the bee hives. I couldn’t find anything wrong.

The breakfast featured fresh food, eggs, honey, and it tasted even better knowing it was all produced there; the host Steve was welcoming, easy to chat with, and gave us lots of information about the area. The place feels like a peaceful retreat where everything slows down, it’s quiet and far enough from the bustle yet a quick drive to the CBD, the cats are very friendly, we wish it had been cold enough to light the fire, and we could see Mt Taranaki from the front yard. The only issue was the bathroom mirror being too high—someone who is 5'2" can only see their forehead.

We love this property; the garden is delightful, and it’s very nice to sit on the little deck and enjoy its tranquility. The rooms are very pleasant with everything you need, a comfy bed, lovely quality linen, a log burner to keep the cold at bay, and a delicious breakfast to prepare. This is our third time here and we are very happy. Nothing negative.
