The staff were especially helpful and friendly. The cabin was comfortable and offered an amazing view of the paramo. Dining at the lodge’s restaurant by the fireplace was a great experience. Overall, an excellent place and we were all very happy. The final stretch of road to the lodge is in poor condition and can be hard to navigate without a 4x4.

The administrators, Gladys and Israel, were extremely helpful as we navigated the various activities; Israel also served as a knowledgeable guide, explaining the flora and fauna of the polylepis forests, and he even cooked wonderfully. I can’t think of anything we didn’t like.
