Breakfast was fine, and there was a mosquito net on the roof window. However, the lunch and dinner were mostly disappointing. The room was tiny and under the roof, with no air‑conditioning, so the first night temperatures were around 30 °C. Luckily the weather turned, and by the end of the three‑day stay it was only 24 °C. The sink was very small, and a fan kept turning on every few minutes throughout the night, adding to a constant hum; at 7 am a turbo‑vacuum noise started up as well.

Great spot for a stop on the way to Italy; it’s nice that there were four real beds (no sofa bed or the like) in the room, and it was spacious enough. The place is simple but set in a beautiful area. A walk to the Blautopf was enjoyable, but be mindful of your shoes and the climb back. Breakfast seemed a bit pricey for this accommodation, yet it was good quality and offered enough variety.

The pillows are good, the place is clean, parking is easy, and the bedroom is dark. But it isn’t a hotel—it’s a conference centre with a group‑travel lodging setup. All the rooms are bunk‑bed suites spread across several buildings, with 10 rooms sharing one bathroom. Each room has a single light and no nightlight. Check‑in is only between 14–16, and I had to call to arrange a different time, which was very troublesome because the phone was not answered 4–5 times. They officially offer breakfast, but there was none available when we were there. Check‑out must be before 9 am. There is no reception, no fresh air in the rooms, and the rooms are extremely noisy—you hear everything from the others. I strongly recommend avoiding this place.
