A modern hotel right by the train station. The city center is a short walk away, and the car could be parked in the underground at good rates.

The location was excellent, the breakfast was good, and the lobby and breakfast room were beautifully decorated. However, the reception felt impersonal and unhelpful—no greetings, no smiles, no “Bonjour… Bonne journée…” or “Did you have a good stay?” The morning receptionist was eating a yogurt while chatting with other staff, wiping her mouth on her sleeve, and then diving back into her computer. Apparently, staff meetings were held right in front of guests having breakfast. I witnessed the cleaning and maintenance team meeting about 50 cm from me to discuss a crane that was supposed to clean the high windows. Worse, I had to act as an Italian interpreter for a receptionist who didn’t speak Italian because her colleague was absent. The in‑room connected system is a great idea when it works, but the tablet buttons barely respond. I stayed in room 206. Only the director intervened when the hotel’s front doors were locked for cleaning.
