The decor was basic, but everything I needed was functional and in good condition. Common sense prevailed. The staff were lovely and helpful, and the restaurant served tasty food—especially the spaghetti bolognese with a garden salad.

“Great place to visit. However motel room did not meet expectation.”

The central location meant I could walk to IGA, the main shopping street, restaurants, cafés and attractions. However, the motel room advertised as a Deluxe Queen Suite was far from that description: it was only a double bed with thin sheets and a thin blanket, and both pillows and mattress were uncomfortable. It was very overpriced for what was offered. Room 10 was close to the road and noisy; one night someone even jumped on our roof and walked around. The shower stayed lukewarm even after the plumber supposedly fixed it, and the skylight was smashed, letting dirt, rain and bugs in—especially annoying when sitting on the toilet. This is probably the worst accommodation I’ve stayed in for many years, and it’s my first negative review in a long time.

The beer garden was fantastic, and having VB on tap was always a plus.

“Pleasant and would definitely stay there again”

The location was great and I loved the onsite bar. The only small issue was that accessing the outside bins was difficult, so we didn’t want to leave our bagged rubbish in the room.
