The surroundings were great, but on the morning of departure I wanted to swim a bit, only to find the pool under maintenance—unavoidable, yet disappointing right where I was.

Breakfast was really very good, and there was nothing to complain about.

There was no hot chocolate at breakfast, and the croissants and chocolate cakes could have been better.

“Worst Ever Experience in a so-called 4-star hotel. Wonder how these people received a 4-star status.”

The fact that I had to stay there only one night. The staff are rude and incompetent and have a racist or discriminatory attitude. The receptionist when I arrived on the 29th Oct evening was very good. She suggested I eat in their restaurant or order room service. I also reuested her if I could have a taxi for the next morning. She said her colleague in the morning will help and that she'd leave a message. The restaurant was a bad expereince. I don't think they understand what it is to be of service. They are so proud and intransigent. Don't listen nor do anything that is asked. For example I asked a burger and cola and said either I can take it with me or they could send it to my room. They said they can send it but I opted to take it. I sat down at a table and a man who looked like the manager placed a very tiny cola bottle in front of me. opened it and placed a glass with ice there. I said I wanted to take it to my room. And also was surpriosed that the 6 Euros cola was so tiny. He said you have to drink it here. He didnt want to pause a moment to listen that I asked to take it not consume it there. But he just turned his back and left before I could finish my sentence. Then the burger came. The waitress said you can take this to your room. It was on open tray. Just like that. I said could you put it in a box. I asked to take away and checked it a few times before ordering. She said they have no boxes. They talked among themselves and came back with a steel dome covering on the burger and handed it to me and said take it. They just didnt care for what I may be saying. The manager kept speaking in Dutch knowing full well I am a foreigner. The next day the receptionist was extremely rude saying she is not going to help book a taxi but will give me numbers and she wanted me to call them myself. She gave me numbers of taxi services that were one hour away by car. I said I have to go to a place that is 1 km away from the hotel. She said these are the nearest taxis available

“Een fantastisch hotel op een schitterende locatie.”

The hotel sits beautifully in a park, close to the Veluwezoom with lovely walks. We liked the restaurant, bar, and breakfast very much, and the pool and sauna were very good and clean. Our room was spacious, tidy, and well equipped. The only issue was that the restaurant staff were a bit slow, though still friendly.
