“Sweet house with lovely pool and gardens.”

The house is charming, and the host made sure nothing was too much trouble. It’s rated 2 stars, which I think is fair, but the outdoor areas and pool feel like 5 stars. Planned refurbishments will make a big difference, yet it remains a delightful traditional house in a gorgeous location, just minutes from the square and all amenities. It’s charming, unpretentious, and the host is amazing—thanks for a lovely stay. The only thing I wish for is an air conditioner.

The surroundings were dreamy, the house was well‑located, the outdoor area was beautiful, and the host was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We can only recommend this accommodation. The only thing that comes to mind is that the sofa in the living area and the mattresses in the beds could be a bit softer for my taste.

I stayed in a very cozy and comfortable house with a magnificent garden; the owner helped us discover the sights of Crete, which was invaluable.

“A Beautiful setting with an amazing outside space”

The outdoor area was absolutely lovely, spacious, and featured a great dining spot and a lovely upper balcony with wonderful views around the property. The pool was well placed, offering both sun and shade for relaxation. Inside, the kitchen was a good size with a table and dining chairs, and there were two bathrooms—one on the ground floor and one on the upper level—as well as two bedrooms and sitting areas, one on each floor. Air conditioning was missing, but the ceiling fans were a very welcome addition.

We spent six nights in a wonderful house in Gavalochori and were completely satisfied. The house is large, comfortable, and spotless, with a perfect courtyard and BBQ area. The kitchen was very well equipped – it had everything we needed. The village is quiet, beautiful, and very welcoming. Nearby there is a traditional café with excellent food and a mini‑market for essentials. It was the ideal base for a relaxed holiday and we will definitely return.
