Mandarine hostel

I arrived on a very late flight and they waited for me until then. Night‑time check‑in required an extra €2 fee. Their reception staff explained all the facilities with great care, even though I was arriving late. Before my arrival they also offered an airport transfer booking service and arranged a driver for me (the driver was late that day, but the staff kept trying to coordinate with him). Despite many guests, overall the rooms and bathrooms were fairly clean. The next day I went to nearby attractions in the city centre, which were quite close.

The room was spacious and had a balcony. The bathroom was terrible—dirty, with a shower that was either 100 % freezing cold or 100 % scalding hot, making it impossible to control the temperature.

“Worst hostel in years”

Wall art. Hard to find, outside courtyard entry and balcony dirty, falling apart furniture & cushions, bed to far from outlet, kitchen crampedand not enough tables

Decent location, good staff. It's dirty. Bathroom on our floor was infested with pigeon feather and poop. On top of the pigeon stuff, it was quite clear that the bathrooms have not been properly cleaned in a long time. Hot water was spotty. Bathrooms are not sufficient. One of the bathrooms didn't have toilet seat. Room was stuffy - 25C aircon is not sufficient for a room with 10 people in a city like Tirana. Overall the rating of this hostel does not reflect it's current condition

Ligging dicht bij de highlights. Smerige badkamer, water problemen waardoor al snel de toilet niet meer kon worden doorgetrokken
