“Simple but sufficient, beautiful location”

Beautiful local spot—outside the tourist trail, right on the beach (great beach with no stingers). Local life buzzes around. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spotless. PJ was always ready to help with a smile. Renting a car made it easier to come and go (you can park on the property). The kitchenette was adequate for simple meals. In low season not much is open on the beachfront. We didn’t expect the showers to be cold (no hot water option) and wished that was clarified when booking (cold showers in a hot place is fine if you’re expecting it). The air‑con doesn’t really work and sounds like a tractor, so it was hard to handle during the peak of summer.

“Living on the beach”

A perfect escape from the crowds and hustle! As mentioned, the property is a bit farther from main towns like El Nido—about 40‑45 min by scooter (35‑40 min by car). That was actually an advantage for us. Not many tourists, just a local fishermen’s village. You basically live on the beach, which is nice. There are several local cafés for food and drinks—the nearest is just over the fence (see the photo with coffee). Good food. If you need drinks, the host has a bar where you can buy them. All in all, if you want peace, quiet nature, and no city rush, this could be the perfect place. We were very happy to get the house (1 of 3) that was closest to the beach. Keep in mind there’s no hot water in the shower, and the last 15 min of the road is gravel/dirt, so be careful if you go by scooter. It’s just slower, not impassable.

The property at Bucana Beach is very peaceful and away from the more touristy beaches in the El Nido area. If you’re looking for quiet and relaxation this is the place. There’s no restaurant, but each room has a small kitchen if you want to cook. We chose nearby local restaurants. The one directly beside even delivers your meal to your room.

Beautiful accommodation right on the beach; the owner was amazing, and the Bucana village offers a calm stay. Right next to it is the amazing restaurant Mama Tata’s. It’s not far from El Nido if you want to visit a more touristy place with many shops and restaurants.
