We really enjoyed our stay – the staff were lovely and the food was great! The street sign for Platos was right outside our room and it creaks in the wind. There’s a white blind in the hallway of the room; a darker colour would be better because it lets light in at night, so you have to shut the bedroom door – a small niggle.

The property is beautiful in the heart of Kirkby Lonsdale. All the staff were very welcoming and the service was exceptional throughout. Breakfast was also amazing. Nothing to add.

It was described as a “compact” room when booking, but it turned out to be entirely adequate. The staff were friendly, the room and bathroom were very clean, and the food was cooked to order rather than pre‑cooked and reheated. The only drawback was having to walk ten minutes to the car park.

The hotel sits in a great spot, feels really cosy, warm, and welcoming, with staff who made us feel at home. Breakfast was excellent and a great way to start the day. Free parking is just up the street, which is worth noting, but it was no problem at all. A lovely hotel in a beautiful location – we’d happily stay again! 👍
