The lodge is always a quiet, comfortable place to stay during our wine‑tasting trips. Being close to the Jack London saloon and Les Pascals, a lovely French patisserie, is a plus. The pool area and seating are also great for relaxing.

The lodge in the middle of Glen Ellen was cute, with a nice pool area that included a grassy spot near a fenced creek. The saloon and restaurant next door were fairly busy with locals and tourists, and the town usually closes early. But the spa rule that no minors are allowed after 7 pm isn’t enforced; adults want some quiet to unwind, and the posted rule should be enforced.

Nearby eateries within walking distance were great, and the small pool area had plenty of chairs and tables plus a hot tub. The room got cleaned daily and pool towels were provided. However, it was very noisy—no soundproofing—so I woke up before 7 am every day from other guests leaving, kids running upstairs, and cars and motorcycles parked right outside our window. The bed felt very soft, and the wooden chairs were uncomfortable. The only common area was the poolside, and the overall quality didn’t match the price.
