The place was simple, cozy, tidy, and quiet—exactly the experience I wanted! The owner was super friendly and shared all the best eats and sights in Miaoli. Breakfast was amazing, beating most other breakfast spots. Overall, the stay was fantastic. The only downside was its slightly remote location.

The owner enthusiastically talks about local attractions and food. The room has a charming old‑world vibe, stays clean, and the AC is quiet. The common area is well‑ventilated, and the living room showcases the owner’s decades‑old Coca‑Cola collection for guests to admire. Definitely worth another visit.

We just arrived to park, and the owner already stepped out to check the traffic, carefully explaining the house amenities and nearby sights and restaurants. The room had a subtle scent that was relaxing, it was clean, and the TV could stream YouTube and Netflix. The shower had plenty of water and hot water was ample. Breakfast was huge, though the water flow was so strong that the bathroom drain lagged a bit and left some standing water; the portion size could be adjusted to the guest’s preference.
