The location was fantastic, with a lovely bay, a nice beach, and a walking trail nearby. It was quiet, and the pool and hot tub were great. The kitchen could have been better stocked; there was no frypan.

“A Good Choice”

The setting is beautiful, modern, and well maintained, the wifi is excellent, and the restaurant is good. The restaurants don’t open every day, but there are usually other spots on the island that stay open.

“Great views, but rooms are tight.”

The beds were very comfortable and the view was amazing. The staff were great to deal with, and the on‑site restaurant and bakery were quite good—just not open daily. The on‑site gallery was a nice touch too. Unfortunately the lodge rooms are very small and the bathroom layout is awkward, so it seemed pricey for what you get. With only one night’s stay, a single set of wall hooks and a desk made unpacking and settling in tricky for two people. Food options on site and on the island are inconsistent, making it hard to eat without cooking options in the room—perhaps a group kitchen would solve that.

“Will be back!”

The location can’t be beat, and the rates were more than fair compared to similar accommodation. The room was simple but clean and a perfect place to rest our heads at the end of the day. The balcony was lovely, the view is incredible, and the doors open fully so you feel even closer to the ocean. In the mornings and evenings we opened the doors and listened to the birds from bed. The kind woman at the reservation/guest services desk was great! She accommodated a few requests for us with no issue. Her communication was friendly and welcoming. The room was pet‑friendly, so we brought our dog (Lab) along; we booked last minute and our usual pet sitter was unavailable, so a pet‑friendly unit kept our trip on track. We used the dog wash after a sandy beach trip; my dog usually hates baths, but the warm water made it tolerable and tracked much less sand into our room. The restaurant staff and food were great! We also stopped at the cafe in the morning for a cheese pastry, a sweet treat, and a bit of bacon for the pup. The owner was happy to accommodate and we had a nice visit. Overall a wonderful stay; we will definitely return. The hot tub was a bit dirty on our first visit, but it seemed to be in the process of being cleaned by our second visit the next morning. There was a chemical feel, but that’s not unusual since we were there at 10 am for a dip before checking out. The pool was chilly at first, but once I adjusted it was fine.
