The setting and location are beautiful. The walls and ceiling are thin, and the phone alarm from the room next door sounded like it was in our room. Overall, I’d stay again, maybe ask for an upper‑floor room if I’m not traveling with heavy bags.

The Gateway hotel was well maintained and met all of our needs. Its relationship with the Rocky Point resort provided a very good dinner experience as well. If you want a peaceful, out‑of‑the‑way place for relaxation and rest, this is an excellent option. The covered outdoor cabana area is the only place to sit and relax outdoors, but it also doubles as the hotel’s smoking area. It needs to be updated, maintained, and cleaned daily to support both smokers and non‑smokers comfortably.
