The on‑site hot spring was cheap and the rooms were relatively large, plus karaoke and table tennis were free (one session per day, timed), the food tasted good and it was nice to be able to borrow a yukata. The toilet felt old and not very clean, and there was a faint “grandparent‑like” smell that wasn’t outright offensive but definitely noticeable, and the hotel was far from the station—better suited for a drive‑in getaway.

The food was definitely the highlight of my stay - it was plentiful and delicious. However, the slippers were a bit of a pain to walk around in, which was a bit of a nuisance.
