We arrived at this hotel by train and bus, a bit disoriented after visiting several Japanese cities. We'd booked a family room, which isn't directly at the ski slopes (a car is a must). But the staff were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to assist us. We rented skis on site at a reasonable price and got to experience traditional Japanese life: sleeping on futons, bathing in a furo, and enjoying delicious meals prepared by our host.

This place is a hidden gem - it's super convenient, comfy, and great value for the price. The food is delicious, the staff are lovely, and the vibe is super relaxed. It's the perfect spot to unwind and feel at home.

The location is great and it's close to everything, but be aware that there aren't many konbini stores nearby.
