“Nice place, Great location! Lacks touches to make it excellent, but adequate.”
Overall, the place worked well for us; the location is good and the area is nicer than further south. The Oasis 2‑bedroom unit has been nicely renovated, the bathrooms and kitchen are well done, linens and towels are refreshed appropriately, basic toiletries (all‑in‑one shampoo/conditioner/body wash, hair dryer, ironing board/iron) are provided, and the front office has a small store for purchase. The pay parking is easy to find and cheaper than street parking (use it because street parking is enforced!). A continental breakfast is included with drinks, cereals, bagels, hard‑boiled eggs, yogurt, and some fruit. The staff is helpful and friendly, hangers and room for suitcases are available, and beach towels can be rented for an additional deposit. The downside is that after the renovations, management seems to have cut costs: the breakfast is a few blocks away, overcrowded, with outdoor seating that’s useless in the rain and very short hours; you must fetch kitchenware from the front office and bring it to the unit. The beds sag, pillows are only adequate, the unit sleeps six but there are only three chairs at the table and just a couch and one chair for relaxing. Small upgrades—new mattresses and pillows, kitchenware in the unit, more furniture, better lighting, coffee/tea and improved toiletries—would make this rental outstanding. Maintenance also needs to seal exterior holes and window/door gaps to keep pests out.
