Just next to Maa devalay, but the hotel wouldn’t let me check in early because it was fully booked, and the cafeteria had very limited service.

My experience with this property was extremely disappointing. I made a confirmed booking well in advance, only to have it cancelled by the property a few days later without any direct communication. When I called to understand what had happened, the only response I received was, “We sent you an email about the cancellation.” A confirmed booking should provide peace of mind, not uncertainty. Simply sending an email and cancelling without making any effort to ensure the guest is informed is highly unprofessional, especially when travel plans may already be in place. I would not recommend relying on this property if you value reliability and customer service. Be prepared for the possibility of your booking being cancelled at short notice. The hotel cancelled my stay as soon as I arrived and didn’t bother to inform me before I left the airport—so I was left stranded. The service was really poor, or at least lacking.

“9 out of 10. Do stay at this place when you visit Kamakhya temple.”

The staff were friendly, the location is only a few seconds’ walk from Kamakhya temple, and the food was good. The only drawback was the steep, crowded stairs up to the temple, which was a bit tiring for us seniors, but the hotel was very cooperative and sent an attendant to carry our luggage when we checked out. All in all, 9 out of 10.
