The nostalgic vibe felt oddly fresh, like a school trip or a student dorm, and the towels were wonderfully fluffy, which was a pleasant surprise; there really wasn’t anything else to mention.

We spent one night here while cycling, and the hotel was convenient with friendly, helpful staff who even assisted us in storing our bikes; the only downside was a slight unpleasant odor inside, but overall the impression was positive.

It was nice to have a traditional Japanese room again after a long time, and the on‑site parking was free; the only issue was a step at the doorway of the room.

I stayed while sightseeing and had time before check‑in to visit the nearby observation deck, which offered a breathtaking view of the islands. Within walking distance there was a kombini, an izakaya bar, and a shrine for a quick visit. The toilet and shower were shared, but I never ran into anyone, and I woke up to birdsong in the morning. The towels were fluffy and still smell great back home, and the staff greeted me with big smiles, making the experience totally satisfying.
