The meals were excellent in a delightful log dining room with lovely sea views, though the room was cold; the staff did offer a small electric heater to make it more comfortable.

The cabin I stayed in was even larger than expected with a full kitchen, and despite reading that there could be noise from the pub I found no noise even with the windows open; I had no car but the Gertie and Gabriella taxis made getting around easy, and if you have time in the morning I strongly recommend sitting on the rocks across the street to watch the shorebirds—it's a very beautiful spot.

The location was great with beautiful water views and a good walking/jogging sidewalk, staff were very friendly, food was good and reasonably priced, but the facilities and rooms were dated, which added to its ambience and charm; if you have mobility issues getting to most rooms might be a problem.

The place is quaint and feels like a movie set; the rooms above the restaurant are very cozy and comfortable, the location right on the ocean and close to the ferry is excellent, there’s plenty of parking, the bed is comfortable, the TV has internet including Netflix (using my subscription) and the Wi‑Fi is easy to connect to; communication was efficient with all details emailed before arrival, and checking in and out was contactless and super easy. However, the room I stayed in had a double and a single bed and was basically filled, making it very small; the “balcony” described in the listing turned out to be a public one, and the windows faced it, so I had to keep the curtains closed the whole stay; there was no AC, only a fan that ran hot, and the rooms aren’t very noise‑isolated—though I could hear the neighbors talking, it wasn’t terribly loud and I slept well.

The location is amazing, but the long skinny staircase makes lugging a suitcase up a challenge.
