The staff at this place are absolutely lovely. We were blown away by the excellent cooking and the kindness of everyone we met. We also fell in love with the town of Same, which is so airy and peaceful. I highly recommend this spot for a day or two.

I'm still trying to figure out how this place made it onto . I arrived late and was greeted by a bunch of issues - no TV remote, no working internet, and a broken shower. The exchange rate was also super unfavorable. Needless to say, I didn't shower the night I arrived or the morning I left.

We were so glad we stumbled upon Johnson Villa, especially after missing our intended stop. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, offering great advice and care. We ended up spending most of our stay and meals at the villa, and even booked the same rooms on our way back from Dar-es-Salaam. The rooms were spotless and the beds were super comfy. Breakfast was also top-notch.

We were pleasantly surprised by the spacious rooms with air conditioning and large bathrooms. The breakfast was great, and the location on the main street was convenient for travelers. However, we did have some issues with the staff disappearing after check-in, and the WiFi wasn't working. They did bring us a portable router, though. Also, dinner had to be brought from the adjacent villa, which took a bit of time.

When our public bus broke down, we were relieved to find this place as a last-minute emergency stop. It's a bit out of town, so you'll need to take a tuk-tuk to get there. We did have some confusion about our room, which didn't quite match the description. Still, it was an affordable and decent place to rest for the night.
