“Simple & clean accom. No English spoken”

The hotel is a bit far from shops and restaurants. The lady who runs the place is kind but doesn’t speak English. She also gave incorrect info: she said a prepayment would be made the day before arrival and that only credit cards were accepted, no cash. I couldn’t explain I had no cash (I’d just arrived from the airport by Grab taxi, so I didn’t need it). Fortunately an Indonesian guest helped translate and point me to an ATM. Breakfast was delivered to my room at 7 am (I couldn’t change the time) and it was a typical Indonesian breakfast without any cold or hot drinks (no coffee). The bed was comfortable. A window above the door let corridor light in; a curtain would have helped. The bathroom was okay but had no toilet paper. I think this simple accommodation is geared toward locals rather than tourists. The lady was sweet but couldn’t answer questions or requests. No toilet paper, no hairdryer, breakfast without coffee or tea, light at night coming into the room, correct info on the booking website.

We chose this hotel because it was a 20‑minute taxi ride to the airport. The bedding and bathroom weren’t clean, but the staff were very kind and we were able to change the sheets.
