Friendly service, generous breakfast right in the old town. All the routes are short. The premises were a bit old‑fashioned.

Wohnen in einem traditionellen bergischen Schieferhäuschen ist ein Erlebnis. Dass das Hotel eher urig ist als luxuriös, ist auf den Bildern klar erkennbar, auch, dass ein so altes Haus leider nicht barrierefrei ist. Es hat aber auf jeden Fall seinen Charme und die Lage ist sensationell. Der Dom, die alte Wallfahrtskirche und ein hervorragendes indisches Restauranty Cafés etc. sind alle gut erreichbar. Und ja, die Kirche läutet . aber erst ab 7 Uhr und es klingt sehr schön. Das Zustellbett (haben wir eh nicht gebraucht) wirkte schon etwas schmuddelig und kaputt. Das könnte man ggf. mal durch ein Schlafsofa ersetzen. Ein Beistelltisch für den Sessen wäre auch noch gut. Sonst war an Sauberkeit u.s.w. alles top, sehr schön saniertes Bad z.B. Da fehlte allerdings ein Dusch-/Wannenvorleger

Check‑in and check‑out were straightforward. We didn't have breakfast. At departure we briefly met the landlord. We were probably the only guests. For a single night everything was perfect.

The host was personal and affectionate, and breakfast was a highlight—cozy, tasty, and friendly. The location is great, central yet quiet. Nothing was missing.
