The room had a separate kitchen and was cheap, yet it felt a bit run down and the noise from the New England highway was noticeable.

The room needed maintenance: there was mould in the bathroom, a broken towel rail on the floor, an unstable shelf over the sink that protruded too far and hit my head several times, and the bed blankets and other linens were due for replacement; it also lacked a proper clean, a tea towel, dishwashing liquid, and hanging space for clothes, and the draft under the door was dirty and useless, plus there was a need for cockroach spraying.

The shower and bed were good, but there was a lot of mould in the bathroom, rubbish behind the bed, no bins, a towel rail that fell down, and the freezer was a single block of ice.

There was no breaky, but the bar lady was very generous, and the pool table could use new cue sticks.
