The spot right on the pier/strand and the breakfast were fantastic, and the area was super quiet; the only downside was that it was a bit far from the city centre, but that wasn’t a big deal.

The staff were friendly, the food good, the breakfast buffet tasty and varied, the beach close, a bus stop almost in front of the building, and there was a indoor pool; some things felt a bit old‑fashioned.

We had a very pleasant stay and were especially impressed to find a beautifully prepared baby cot in our room, even though the booking system did not mention that baby cots were available; the breakfast was excellent, varied, fresh and of very good quality; the staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and the room was clean; the location is fantastic – just across the street from the beautiful Cuxhaven promenade, which was especially convenient for us with a baby and stroller; the older part of the hotel, where we stayed, is somewhat dated; the furniture and rooms would benefit from renovation and modernization.
