Located in downtown Newport along Thames Street, the boutique-style Bouchard Restaurant & Inn features an on-site French restaurant and rooms with complimentary Wi-Fi. Newport Mansions are 1 km away. The inn offers flat-screen TVs, sitting areas, and stairs-only access to higher floors. A French-inspired menu and extensive wine list are available, along with breakfast options including pastries and yogurt parfaits. King Park Beach is a 550-metre walk and the harbour is nearby.

The central spot is fantastic with plenty of walking options, though it felt a bit pricey—understandable given Newport’s overall cost.
