“Great location but simple hotel. Could be better.”
The place is in a great spot, right next to Myeongdong, Chungmu Station, convenience stores, and traditional eateries. They provide shower slippers and shampoo/shower gel. The manager and staff are very responsive and polite, reachable via a wide range of international messaging apps like Line, Kakao, WeChat, and WhatsApp. A washing machine, dryer, and microwave are available, and they supply fabric softener and liquid detergent, so using the washing machine is straightforward. However, there is no lock on the bathroom door, so if someone walks past you you can hear them. The building is not disability friendly—no lift, so you have to carry luggage up three flights of stairs. The room is very plain, just cream and grey walls, with no décor. Towels are small hand towels, not bath towels. There is no housekeeping to change sheets, mop or sweep floors, or empty bins. The toilet paper supply was insufficient for the number of people staying, so I had to buy more myself. After a couple of days the bathroom drain started to smell badly. The rooms need dehumidifiers because the duvet feels damp after a few days.
