“Kurze Entfernung zum Flughafen Oliver Tambo”

We chose Golfer's Lodge a second time for a one‑night stay because it’s close to Johannesburg’s Oliver Tambo airport; it was Valentine’s Day and nearby restaurants were fully booked, but host Luiza helped us secure two spots at a nearby eatery. We had no complaints.

“The room was okay but the host made it uncomfortable”

The rooms were tidy and cozy, but I was annoyed that breakfast had to be at 8 am. I was on a call for work and the host rang at my door right then; check‑out was at 12 pm, yet the host arrived in my room over an hour early, making me feel uneasy. I wanted to sleep until 11:15 am but had to leave. Breakfast ran from 7 to 10, so I shouldn’t have been forced to eat at 8. The host also complained about the air‑conditioning, even though I had paid for my stay. I won’t return.

“Lovely!”

Our room was spacious, private, and fully equipped, and we appreciated the hot chocolate—my boyfriend doesn’t drink coffee or tea, and few BnBs offer that, so it was a great bonus. The rusks were my favorite, and bottled water was available even though we usually bring our own; the soap and shampoo had a pleasant scent and were handy if you forget toiletries. Overall, it was a lovely stay and we’d definitely come back if needed.
