The hotel consists of bungalows and, overall, it’s very good. The room is spacious and they let us check out at 13:30 without any extra charge. The restaurant is the highlight: the best and cheapest we found throughout our South Africa trip, serving both international dishes and traditional Zulu fare. The bathroom light is automatic – it turns on when you enter, but then switches off if you stay inside without moving, so it keeps flickering and leaves you in the dark while showering. The bathroom door uses the same panels as the wardrobes, so it never closes properly and the smell leaks out. There’s a security checkpoint for entering and leaving the hotel, and each time you come or go by car (the hotel is out of town and you need to drive), you have to fill out a short form on a tablet with your name, ID number and phone.
