We spent one night at the property to better explore Anyradhapura. The location is perfect and convenient for a quiet trip to the center. The owner was very kind and prepared a typical Sri Lankan dinner and a great breakfast. The breakfast was so abundant that he made us a take‑away bag. The room’s air conditioning was perfect; the only downside was finding a frog and a gecko in the bathroom, but that’s Sri Lanka. It’s nice as it is.

The room was lovely, with a balcony overlooking one of the sacred times and a stunning view. It was spacious and welcoming. However, there were a lot of mosquitoes; the manager offered to spray the flit, but we declined because we don't like inhaling those chemicals. A mosquito net would have been appreciated, as we found in many hotels here in Sri Lanka. Overall, the house was very nice.

The view was beautiful! The staff were friendly, perhaps a little too friendly and sometimes a bit pushy, but they meant well. The room was large, had air conditioning and a fridge, and the TV worked fine. You could park your tuk-tuk. The Sri Lankan breakfast could be requested for a fee, and it was a generous spread prepared by a kind lady who definitely knows how to cook. We were allowed to check out later (until 14:00) for a fee, which was very convenient and let us visit the old town. Mosquitoes were in the room. The breakfast price was 2pp: food 1300rp, fruit juice 300rp, fruit 200rp (we didn't ask for fruit and didn't have to pay). Note! This stay is in the old town, so you can be stopped if you don't have tickets. We told the guards that we were staying here and that was fine.
