We stayed in a double room with a private bathroom. This isn’t a hotel – it’s a property with three rooms for rent, and there’s no staff unless it’s check‑in or cleaning time. The location is fantastic, the décor is classic and the room is clean. Noise can come from the surroundings, which is normal and nothing they can do about it, so that’s fine. The bed was hard – it depends on your preference, it was okay for me. The air‑con turns on and off and is incredibly loud – I’m not exaggerating. When it cycles it can shudder and it’s in the room, so it’s loud. The shower switches between hot and cold water intermittently, which was uncomfortable and below what I’d expect for the price I paid, and at times I was shivering. My stay was acceptable but I was disappointed.
