Cabana Elena

The cabin was lovely and fairly well furnished; we were three teenagers and each had their own room with a private shower, which we really enjoyed. The location was problematic, perched up the mountain, requiring a half‑hour drive on a narrow, winding, and unpaved road. According to the address listed on Booking, we thought it would be in the lower village, so that was a surprise. The water supply was an issue when another device that required water was turned on. I also needed a lamp next to the bed, and the kitchen lighting was very dim.

The cabin was spacious and beautiful. The hosts were very pleasant, and when a problem arose they were willing to solve it. It’s in a lovely location, perfect for families with children. There was also a small grill cabin nearby.

The owners and their wife were very kind and attentive, and we even received a small gift of homemade milk. The accommodation was nice and clean, and it wasn’t crowded at all for our 12‑person group. Every room had its own bathroom. The grill was great, and the sauna was also excellent. The ice cave is just a short walk away from the lodging. It was a very short stroll.

A beautiful place, quiet, with a pleasant chill at night when everyone else was sweltering. The hosts are pure gold. Language barriers are no issue. It’s a mountain cabin for people who love the mountains. The surrounding nature, crickets, birds… I highly recommend it!

The surroundings were wonderful, quiet and peaceful, and the cabin was very comfortable. There was no direct neighbor. The cleanliness was impeccable. The host lives in a small building next to the house, but it was not at all disturbing. Every morning they asked if we had slept well. ☺️ The whole house was warm throughout. We didn’t bring our own ground coffee, we mentioned it and they gave us some immediately. The kitchen was fully equipped, and there was an outdoor small covered baking area with a little stove. Each room had its own bathroom, which was very convenient. The bedrooms were on the upper floor, two normal‑size and two very large, with a double French bed in the larger ones. The sauna was also great, but it was an extra charge, so I’d suggest listing that under services. It can only be paid in cash, we paid in euros. The nearby Ice Cave also only accepted cash, but they accepted euros there too. We’ll definitely come back; we felt very good! ❤️
