The Willow room opens onto a private outdoor area with mountain views, outdoor furniture, a dining space and a barbecue. Inside, a private bathroom includes a toilet, a bath or shower and toilet paper, while the sleeping space accommodates two guests and offers a socket beside the bed, heating, a fan and a carbon‑monoxide detector. Entertainment and kitchen facilities feature a TV, free Wi‑Fi, a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, kitchenware and a seating area.
“Fantastic peaceful site with lovely views, plenty to do with in a short drive”
The pods were cozy, clean, and had everything you need; I liked that you had a private shower and toilet just behind your pod, giving a real camping vibe; it was nice to bring my dog on a leash and the pod had fencing; the view was amazing, the site was very quiet, and there were plenty of things to see and do within a few minutes drive, plus many walks in the area. I didn’t find anything I didn’t like; it was a perfect peaceful getaway with lovely views.
I just had a 2‑night stay at one of the dog‑friendly pods, it has everything you need for your stay. Comfy beds, the essentials in the little kitchen area, the private toilet facilities are literally a 20‑second walk away and were very clean. It’s very peaceful as well, not a large site so it’s a hidden gem. I took a trip down the road to The Railway Inn, which I can highly recommend, and had a lovely walk around Carsington Water. Hopefully we will return, thank you. My only little issue is that if your dog is small it could fit through the bars; our little one escaped and ran for freedom… lol! I can’t find a fault apart from that.

Poplars farm sits in a lovely quiet spot outside Ashbourne, and I was traveling alone with my dog—each pod is great for dogs, with a secure metal fence around it, chairs outside, and fairy lights around the fence; the mattress was very comfy, the shower facilities were clean, and the host greeted me and showed me everything; I only stayed overnight but wish I could have stayed longer, and I’ll be back in the autumn to visit my grandsons who live nearby; I can’t think of anything I didn’t like!

We had such a lovely stay! The location was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful, and the accommodation was really comfortable and had everything we needed. It was the perfect little getaway to switch off, relax and spend some quality time together. The owners were also incredibly friendly and helpful, which made us feel really welcome. We’d definitely recommend staying here and would happily return!
