Skala Hotel

“Comfortable stay in friendly, well located, small but stylish hotel.”

The small hotel offered an excellent breakfast, though the hot options were limited for those wanting a full ‘English’. The location was great, just a few minutes to the beach, which was nice and quiet below the hotel. Our room, next to reception, was small but very comfortable, with a balcony that gave a partial sea view. However, it was noisy in the mornings from 7.30 onwards because it sat right next to reception, and the bathroom was very small; I think other rooms in the hotel were larger.

“The most ideal place to say in the centre of Skala, with attentive staff and comfy rooms. We will be back!”

This is the most convenient spot to stay in Skala if you want quick access to the bars, restaurants, and the beach. The staff are very attentive and they provide a good breakfast. The rooms are a nice size and extremely clean. Ours had a lovely sea view from the balcony. Nothing negative to say about the hotel, just note that there is no swimming pool if that matters to you. For me and my partner that’s irrelevant because why would you be in a pool when the beautiful sea is just down the road?

“Ein rundum zufriedenes Ehepaar verbrachte in Skala einen wunderschönen Urlaub.”

Nich nur ein Zimmer, es war ein kleines Appetment im 2. Stock mit sehr großem Balkon. Das Hotel wurde erst vor kurzem renoviert - alles sehr fein und schön eingerichtet. Die Sauberkeit/Reinigung des Zimmers/Hotels war ausgezeichnet. Es gab morgens ein für 3 Sterne gutes Frühstücksbuffet - die Auswahl war gut. Es wurden zudem verschiedene warme Gerichte frisch zubereitet. Das Personal sehr freundlich mit tollem Service, jeder Wunsch wurde erfüllt

“The location was good, service when there was service was good. Rooms were ok albeit small.”

The breakfast was good, and the coffee was strong enough for me, though a few bakery breads instead of packet bread would have been nicer. I also wanted some croissants or similar bakery items. The safe in my friend’s room wasn’t working, and every time I asked when it would be fixed, the answer was always “when the man comes,” which never happened while we were there. She could use my safe, but if you were traveling alone, not having a safe for a week isn’t ideal. My friend’s room was at the back of the hotel, very dark, and needed lights on during the day. The rooms were small, and after lunch there was no one at reception except for emergencies. A bar displayed bottles but no staff to serve drinks, and if you wanted ice for the tiny ice compartment in your fridge, you had to get it at breakfast.

Breakfast was great, with freshly cooked hot options. The only downside is that there is no pool, which you might want to consider.
