Grove City Motel

“Will never stay here again.”

I stayed here because it was close to a friend’s house, but otherwise it was just mediocre. I’ve been to a lot of cheap hotels and motels, and this turned out to be the third worst place I’ve ever been. It felt like some of the spots I stayed in while traveling through Central America. The price didn’t match what I got, and I’ll never book here again. I originally chose it for the small kitchen, but it wasn’t worth the extra cost. I should have known they would charge me for canceling, and my credit card was debited before I even left my house. I’d call this a “Low Rent” situation and wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up being used for Section 8 housing. It just wasn’t my cup of tea.

“A bit of a hassle, but OK.”

The location was spot‑on for us. When we got there, nobody was in the office; the Ring doorbell was broken and a sign told us to call a number. No one answered, so I left a voicemail. I didn’t receive a callback, so I reached out to the manager. While on the phone with him, we decided to try the “broken” Ring and finally got a response. We managed to get into our room, but it was a bit of a run‑around. The room was dated but clean.

The location was modest. The rooms were well maintained, with separate areas for living/kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. The bed was comfortable. I had easy access to my car.

While I appreciated the motel's location, the exterior was in disarray, with spare doors and miscellaneous items scattered everywhere. Although the gardens were pleasant, the overall appearance was somewhat trashy.
