The breakfast spread was fantastic, and free water bottles were a nice touch; the room, though snug, was clean and comfortable, and the whole property was tidy and well maintained. Parking was straightforward and the town is easy to walk around. We ate dinner at the beach picnic tables across the street and wished we had more time there. However, a smoke detector above the bed blinked every 5 seconds, acting like a slow strobe that kept me awake all night and left me exhausted in the morning; I mentioned it to front desk, who said they’d heard the same complaint, but the installer claimed that’s how it works. Maybe it could be placed just around the corner so it isn’t above the sleeping person’s head.
