Sarah, Santa, and the whole team were outstanding hosts. The chicken curry tasted great, and the sunrise tour in Gunung Leuser Park was amazing. We saw orangutans, Thomas leaf monkeys, and white‑handed gibbons. Darwin was a great guide with good English. It was such a fantastic experience!

This place is a beautiful hidden gem. The hosts and staff were friendly and made us feel at home immediately. They have cute dogs on the property. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had cool AC. The food was delicious and the coffee came from a proper machine. We did the one‑day jungle trek, saw three orangutans, and had a lot of fun. Our guides Adi and Reyhan took excellent care of us and gave an amazing tour. Our driver Tondi picked us up from the airport and dropped us off safely. Thanks so much!

The atmosphere was family‑friendly and the evening music was nice; thanks to the whole team. The breakfasts were a drawback.

Cheeky Monkeys is a delightful guesthouse with an amazing vibe. The staff and owners are super welcoming, friendly, and skilled. Together they handle the accommodation, tours, kitchen, and even make music. We went on the jungle tour, and transport to and from Medan was taken care of. It was a pity to leave again!

The team at Cheeky Monkeys is fantastic. We arrived on a rainy evening, but their warm welcome made us feel right at home. Our room was very atmospheric, with a lovely bed, a beautiful veranda overlooking the gorgeous garden, and a blissful shower. If you need transport or tours, Ade is ready to help. We did one day of jungle trekking, saw orangutans, and took a cooking class with Elly. In the mornings, Andre served delicious coffee. In short, a must‑visit!
