I think the issue started when I booked; I originally reserved two rooms, then switched to one within the free‑cancellation period, yet at payment they charged me for two rooms. When I asked why I had to pay for two rooms when I only booked one, the answer was vague and the invoice showed a little over ¥40,000 per room multiplied by two. It seemed like a system glitch, but I ended up paying nearly ¥100,000 and left with a very sour feeling about the stay.

Luxury kindness events, wonderful meals, and hot spring. The facilities were a bit old, especially the toilets.

A nicely situated ryokan by the lake with hot baths (onsen) is great, but the bus only offers a few departure and arrival windows.
