“Enjoyed our stay”

The staff were friendly and the bed was very comfortable, and the amenities were excellent. However, I was first assigned a double room with a sofa bed, and the tilting sofa made me feel vertigo, so I ended up not using the amenities.

The room is large with plenty of space. The location is good and easy to reach other places. Each floor has water machines to refill bottles. Parking is available. In many ways it felt like a 3‑star hotel; the facilities you’d expect from a 4‑star were missing. Paper cups were in the rooms (no glasses), there was no coffee maker (just instant coffee), toiletries were minimal (one product for everything), there was no lotion or conditioner, the main bar closed at 11, and there was no drink service for guests returning from dinner. The steam room wasn’t working, the sauna was so small it was almost standing room only! The pool was fine but there were no clocks anywhere, so it was hard to gauge how long you spent.

The staff were very friendly, the breakfast was good and close to the old town, and the scenic Panoramaweg along the Loire was beautiful.

The location is great and there’s a free parking spot from 18 h to 9 h in the morning. The downside is that the basic room doesn’t have a fridge.

“Très bien !”

The overall experience was almost perfect and I would recommend it! The only drawback might be the narrow parking space, but cars are getting bigger so it’s not a big deal.
